Australian Wood Roaches or Woodies are a natural and highly nutritious food for Poultry including chickens, ducks, pheasants turkeys and guinea fowl. They are very clean and are not known to carry disease organisms. In nature, woodies live in dry habitats under tree bark, leaf litter, or dead wood.

Woodies are a valuable addition to a varied diet. They have a high protein and nutrient content, plus beneficial roughage.

Storage & Care

Pisces Woodies should be provided with fresh Aquaload and Woodie & Cricket Food or Gutload every few days. These water and food sources should be constantly available to maximize the longevity of the woodies and provide maximum nutrition to your animals.

Gutload is eaten by the Woodies and then consumed by your animals before the woodies digest it, providing a valuable boost of protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and minerals in addition to the nutrition in the woodies themselves. This makes the woodies "Gutloaded."

Woodies prefer to be between 20 to 25 degrees Celcius. Avoid poisonous fumes pesticides and cleaning supplies near Woodies.
