Mealworms are a natural insect food providing protein, vitamins and minerals for insectivorous and seed-eating birds, especially during breeding, egg-laying, and feather re-growth after moulting.
Superworms are enjoyed by lizards, bearded dragons, blue tongue lizards, spiders, scorpions, frogs, birds, large fish, turtles, poultry, game show contestants and many other animals.

Small quantities of mealworms are a natural treat for visiting wildlife and far superior to mince or raw meat. It is best not to make wild animals completely dependent on offered food.
How to feed
Chickens will quickly learn to eat from your hand when you offer Superworms or spread a handful of mealworms per chicken in their foraging area.
Storage
Add extra wheat bran as necessary and feed with sliced carrots. They can be kept at room temperature or for longer storage place in the crisper of a refrigerator. Every few weeks they should be allowed to come to room temperature and fed with fresh wheat bran and carrot slices before they are re-chilled.
